Mixing diesel brands will have no ill effect – although I do tend to fill with Shell V-Power Diesel 1 tank in 4, I don’t know why but it seems to run smoother with Shell V-Power Diesel, more than a couple of contiguous tank fills then I don’t feel any benefit. Used V-Power Diesel from new in my car, Skoda Superb 2.0 Tdi 150. Ran it for 8000 miles only on V-Power, then planned to run it on supermarket Diesel for a similar period to compare.

I ran my last 3 diesels on predominantly Shell V Power and over maybe 60,000 miles in total I felt that I was getting marginally (measurable but not great) better mpg and have never once seen the dreaded dpf light come on. I now use the equivalent petrol in my PHEV.
