With so many compatibility issues, it's hard to see how this cannot be an issue with the PI7. I got my PI7s back a few days ago (new pair via warranty replacement) and still have connection issues and dropouts with my LG V60 (constant hiccups and can't move a few feet away). This review is wrong by saying aptX Adaptive means aptX HD when it comes to the Bowers & Wilkins PI17 ear buds. AptX Adaptive is not backwards compataible with buds. Eq is slightly better with connection and touch controls are far better but the sound quality on pi7 makes me always pick them up over the eq's. The sound quality is worth it for the seldom issues. Damn I wanted to give back my Pi7 for the EQs …. It's subjective but I like the sound signature of the pi7's more.
